Alessandro Cino Zolfanelli is a London-based director and animator.

 

His work combines different techniques such as stop-motion animation, puppetry and live action, and it's characterised by immersive, dreamlike atmospheres.

His debut animated short film, BLACK EYED DOG (2022), won several awards internationally, was acquired by the french broadcasting platform Canal+ in 2023 for a 18-month run, and reached over a million views on YouTube.

In 2025 he graduates from the National Film and Television School with TETHERED, a stop-motion animated short film that was longlisted for the BAFTA Student Awards and officially selected at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival, LIAF and Cinanima.
